A memorial service was held Tuesday evening, May 14, in the Hudson High School auditorium to honor the nation’s law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

The reason for Memorial Day certainly is to honor the memories of all those who have given their lives in the nation’s wars and military campaigns, says retired Chaplain Lt. Col. Lane Stockeland. “And you honor and remember the family of that military member," he adds.

Wineries are popping up all over western Wisconsin, and the town of Troy is no exception. Daniel Koepke presented plans to the Troy Town Board at the May 9 meeting to open Cracked Barrel Winery at 570 Coulee Trail.
